Reno Has a Bike Park Like THIS?! - Sky Tavern

Sky Tavern Bike Park surprised me, Reno mountain biking is seriously underrated!

This was my first time riding Sky Tavern Bike Park in Reno, Nevada, and it quickly showed why the Reno/Tahoe mountain bike scene is worth checking out. Sitting at around 8,000 feet on Mt. Rose Highway, Sky Tavern is a community-powered mountain bike park with progressive trails, technical terrain, flow, berms, and plenty of opportunities to build speed and confidence.

Sky Tavern feels different from a bigger resort bike park, but that’s part of what makes it such a fun place to ride. There’s a good mix of terrain and features without everything feeling overly polished or built around huge bike park lines.

Another thing that makes Sky Tavern different is the way access works. Riding is donation-based, and you can either pay for the uplift shuttle or pedal back up yourself. On an eMTB, that makes it really easy to self-shuttle and keep the laps going without needing to use the shuttle every run.

If you're looking for mountain biking in Reno, Nevada, Lake Tahoe MTB trails, Reno MTB trails, or another Nevada mountain bike park to add to a riding trip, Sky Tavern is definitely one to keep on the list.
