Nevada City's Handbuilt Trail Absolutely RIPS — First Ride!

Nevada City has a brand-new mountain bike trail, and I couldn't wait to check it out. Hobgoblin is one of the newest additions to the Nevada City trail network, featuring a short machine-built section before dropping into a fun handbuilt descent with natural terrain, creative lines, and plenty of potential as more optional features are added over time.

I headed back to Nevada City to see what Hobgoblin had to offer and share my first impressions. While it may not be my favorite trail in the area, it's a fun addition to an already world-class trail network and another great reason to visit one of California's best mountain biking destinations.

A huge thank you to BONC (Bicyclists of Nevada County) for the incredible work they do building, maintaining, and advocating for the Nevada City trail network. Their dedication keeps these trails riding at their best and continues to make Nevada City one of the premier mountain biking destinations in California. www.bonc.org
