Tyrolian Downhill: Fast, Flowy & Chunky
Fast berms, loose corners, jumps, and plenty of Tahoe chunk, Tyrolian Downhill has a bit of everything. Come along for a full run in Incline Village, Nevada, including the new Upper Tyrolian Jump Line.
Tyrolian Downhill is a fast and varied Lake Tahoe MTB descent with a mix of flow, berms, jumps, and a few rougher rocky sections to keep things interesting. The trail gets regular maintenance and improvements, with plenty of sections where you can carry speed before hitting some classic chunky Tahoe terrain.
Conditions can vary quite a bit depending on the season, ranging from tacky dirt to loose, sandy, and dusty sections.
I also checked out the new Upper Tyrolian Jump Line, built by TAMBA and Sensus RAD Trails. The line features a series of jumps that can all be rolled, with a bypass trail available if you want to skip the features.
The jump line can get loose and sandy, so it’s worth checking the features before hitting them at speed. If you want to lap the Upper Tyrolian Jump Line, you can pedal back up the bypass trail or use the Old Mount Rose Highway double-track.
Tyrolian Downhill is close to Diamond Peak and nearby residential areas, so keep an eye out for hikers and other trail users and ride in control.
